They look at the national statistics (from reliable sources) showing their state not doing so well and then they look at the unreliable reports pitched out by their ALEC legislators showing the state is doing fabulous – cause the statistics were mangled by the American Legislative Exchange Council to make their state look good and to make ALEC legislators think they are doing a good job.
