(Thinking Valentine's Day already)
The NRA has a list of national organizations on their
webpage that one might consider the combatants of the NRA.
Per the statement at the top of the page:
The following organizations have
lent monetary, grassroots or some other type of direct support to anti-gun
organizations. … All
have officially endorsed anti-gun positions.

When you consider that over the past year
ALEC has been ineffective time and again, in trying to
distance themselves from the NRA’s Kill Kids at Will legislation that ALEC
distributed for the NRA ….
and
ALEC has repeatedly and unsuccessfully tried to distance
themselves from the fact that the American Legislative Exchange Council
distributes NRA’s authored “model legislation” introduced at ALEC meetings,
and
the NRA put up a hissy fit last spring at a Norquist meeting, when ALEC tried to ineffectually back away from role in distributing the NRA's Kill Kids at Will legislation
you’d think there would be a lovers spat between NRA and
ALEC
and ALEC might
have made the list above
Guess not.
Going back to the opening statement from the NRA webpage
the assumption can be made
– since ALEC is not on the NRA
list

ALEC has
officially endorsed pro-gun positions
Evidently the long-term love affair – kissy, smoochy –
between the NRA and ALEC is still alive and well - regardless of what ALEC tries to tell the public.
Remember folks – ALEC is not some innocuous organization.
ALEC is LEGISLATORS, your state legislators - ultra-conservative, extremist, right-wing - in your state legislature.
